Belbin are proud to be part of the Seminar Programme at the World of Learning Summit taking place at Olympia, London on 4th - 5th February 2025.
Research published in Harvard Business Review (HBR) gives us the worrying statistic that only 15% of us are self-aware.
Self-awareness involves being aware of different aspects of ourselves, including our characteristics, behaviours and feelings.
L&D professionals will know the importance of people understanding their strengths and aligning these to benefit the business.
At the upcoming World of Learning Summit, Jo Keeler, MD of Belbin Ltd, will explore the benefits of improving self-awareness for both individuals and organisations.
The World of Learning Summit 2025 is a two-day event and will take place at Olympia, London on 4th - 5th February 2025.
It will bring together leading experts, brands and professionals from the L&D community to network and learn from one another. A free-to-attend seminar programme will run throughout the event.
On Day 1 in Seminar Theatre 3 at 14.15 hours Jo Keeler will explore "Helping Employees on the Road to Self-Awareness".
Jo will explore the importance of feedback, using the self-awareness matrix published in HBR. She will also use a case study of how a large insurance company has taken their employees along the road to self-awareness, resulting in benefits for both the individuals and the business.
Self-aware individuals are more aware of the effects of their thoughts, emotions and actions. They can objectively evaluate themselves, manage their emotions more effectively, align their behaviour with their values, and gain a deeper understanding of how they are perceived by others.
It makes room for growth and change which increase personal effectiveness and benefit organisations and their teams.
Belbin Ltd will also be exhibiting on Stand Number J100, providing L&D professionals with the opportunity to learn more about the impact Belbin Team Roles can make as part of individual's personal development plans and team cohesiveness.
Full details and how to register to attend can be found on the event website here.
